So-sorealism is a collection that represents the essence of my artistic journey over the past several years. It’s a blend of realism and introspection, where each painting starts with something real—a landscape painted in plein air, a still life, or a scene from life. But as the process unfolds, I introduce unreal or symbolic elements that come from my visions, dreams, and thoughts. These elements, carefully placed within the composition, create a deeper layer of meaning while maintaining the realistic foundation of the work.

The process of creating these paintings is both challenging and rewarding. Each piece takes a significant amount of time—sometimes months or even years—because it’s crucial that the added elements don’t disrupt the original composition or color palette. They must enhance the realism with a metaphysical twist that feels harmonious with the subject matter. There’s always a risk that I might destroy the painting in the process, but that’s part of the challenge.

The themes in this collection are varied, just as the techniques and styles I’ve experimented with. I often explore fire, wild animals, death, and the cycles of life, as well as the female element, which remains a constant fascination for me. Wild animals, in particular, hold symbolic meaning, representing the unconscious and deeper instincts we all share. The collection is an authentic mix of different artistic approaches, reflecting my ongoing curiosity and exploration.

It’s a complete reflection of who I am as an artist, blending the real world outside with the inner visions that drive my creative process.
