“Symbols of the Unconsciousness” is a collection created through an automatic painting process. Each piece is born from a state of unconsciousness, where I let go of rational control and allow my hand to move freely across the canvas, forming random lines, shapes, and geometric patterns. From this initial chaos, I wait for specific elements to reveal themselves. It’s as though I’m not painting but rather “cleaning” the canvas to uncover messages hidden within. The resulting imagery often includes mythological symbols or stylized wild animals—things I didn’t consciously intend but which emerge from the process.

The method was inspired by Carl Gustav Jung’s work on the unconscious mind and automatic painting, as well as the practices of mystics who used automatism to express deeper truths. To maintain this unconscious state, I sometime even rotate the canvas to prevent my rational mind from taking over, allowing the imagery to remain as spontaneous and unfiltered as possible. While the pieces may seem abstract at first, they often reveal profound meanings over time, sometimes even symbols from tarot or mythological elements I wasn’t aware of during their creation.

This approach is relatively new for me, but it feels like a natural evolution from my previous work in realism. Unlike my more conscious, deliberate paintings, this collection represents a direct connection to the infinite knowledge of the unconscious mind. Each painting is a step deeper into the exploration of this uncharted territory, where the lines between the known and the unknown blur, and hidden messages surface through randomness of colors and forms.
